Shifting Latitude

Lucy Maki lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has shown nationally and in Canada and Mexico. Her paintings are in the Museum of New Mexico, Santa Fe, the Albuquerque Museum, and the University of New Mexico Fine Arts Museum, as well as many distinguished private collections. She received an MFA, with distinction, from the University of New Mexico. Her current body of work explores vibrant color, fluid lines, illusive form, in a series of shaped canvases and framed miniatures. The paintings affirm the pure joy that comes from satisfying an instinct for harmony and the communication of beauty.
